The Joy of Little Things
The Joy of little things
“I am beginning to
recognise that real happiness
Isn’t something
large and looming on the horizon
ahead but
something small, numerous and already here. The
smile of someone
you love. The decent breakfast. The warm sunset.
Your little
everday joys all lined up in a row.” ~ by Beau Taplin
The prominent lines by Beau Taplin solely grabbed my focus.
These words left a remarkable mark on my little mind. Until now I was trapped
in the whirlpool of being big, and has dis -remembered to celebrate the joy of
little things. In the race of life, we struggle. We struggle to reach to our
goals, but in this race we forget to rejoice the joys of little things. Have we
ever tried to look back and see, that what we have lost, couldn’t be gained
back again, it’s our youth, childhood, time with parents, etc etc.
The Joy of little things is about those little little things
which appears to be very petty but embraces a colossal impact on us, may be for
a day or for a lifetime.
I was busy, I was occupied,
Didn’t had time to say hi,
She came to meet me in my busy hours,
But I was so occupied to feel her presence.
I was thirsty, I was hungry,
I had no time to have a
cup
They offered me a cup,
But where is the the
time to sip it or a while.
I was tired, I was
exhausted,
I had no time to
refresh myself
She came to play with
her teddy,
But where is the time
to play, with daddy
I was sleepy, I was lazy
I had no time for a five minutes nap
It was Sunday, could be a funday,
But how to compromise with gym and workouts
Life is busy, so am I
The race is long for being big,
But life is short, wait a bit,
Rejoice the joys of little things
